Privacy and data protection
What we do with the details you enter in an introduction request, on what legal basis, and who they are shared with.
The short version
Tregie collects personal data in exactly one place: the introduction request form. There is no account, no newsletter, no advertising network and no cross-site tracking. If you read the site without submitting that form, we do not collect personal data from you at all.
What we collect and why
When you submit an introduction request we collect the country and region you are interested in, your budget band, your timeline, how you intend to fund the purchase, your name, your email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number. The purchase details are there so the professional we introduce you to can tell straight away whether they can help; the contact details are there so they can reach you.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. That is the checkbox on the form, which is never pre-ticked, and without which the request is refused by the server rather than merely discouraged in the interface. Passing your details to a professional in another country is the entire purpose of the form, so consent is asked for that purpose specifically and not buried in a general acceptance of terms.
You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to the confirmation email or writing to the address on the contact page. Withdrawal does not undo a disclosure already made, but it stops any further use.
Who receives your data
Two recipients, at most. First, Tregie itself, so we can read the request and follow up. Second, the vetted buying agent or adviser we introduce you to in the country you selected. That second disclosure happens only after you have ticked the consent box, and only to a professional in that one country. We do not circulate a request to several agents to see who bites.
Where we do not yet have a partner under contract in your country, the request goes to us alone and to nobody else, and we tell you that in the confirmation email rather than leaving you to assume an introduction is on its way.
We use Resend to send email and, where configured, the Bindly CRM to keep track of requests. Both act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.
How long we keep it
Introduction requests are kept for two years from submission, which reflects how long a property search in these markets can realistically run, and then deleted. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we do that instead.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our processing it, or ask us to transfer it to you in a portable form. Write to us and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Cookies and analytics
Tregie sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party advertising scripts. The buying costs calculator stores its state in the page address so you can share a result, which is not a cookie and is visible to you in the address bar. If we ever add analytics we will name the provider here before switching it on.
